The 2nd edition of the UMa Science Days, which will take place from June 24 to 27, 2026, at the Auditorium of the Colégio dos Jesuítas, aims to explore the interaction between knowledge development, its socio-economic enhancement, and new ways of mediating it through digital means.

The central theme, 'Knowledge enhancement, technology transfer, and digital humanities', will be promoted through a broad debate.

In an increasingly complex world, where global challenges require transformative solutions, the theme 'Science, Innovation and Society' invites a comprehensive reflection on the structuring role of science in the development of societies.

It will take place in the format of a Scientific Congress, and we expect the participation of the entire academic community (University and Polytechnic Education). Papers will be selected for presentation as Oral Communications and Digital Posters.

We will also host several internationally renowned invited speakers from different strategic fields.

The themes include:

  1. Research and knowledge enhancement;

  2. Innovation and technology/knowledge transfer;

  3. Digital humanities, heritage, and culture;

  4. Young researchers, data, and the future of science.
